Home Cleaning: Stainless Steel Cleaning

     Almost every kitchen has plenty of stainless steel. Whether large home appliances, dishes, sink, dishes and small appliances is stainless steel usually tough and easy to maintain. But it has to be cleaned yet. Following these simple techniques will ensure that your items look their best in stainless steel.


What you need

  • Fleece
  • Soft, absorbent towel
  • Hot
  • Acetre
  • Fat fight mild liquid detergent (like Dawn or Joy)
  • Friction (isoprophyl) alcohol (optional)
  • Baking soda (optional)
Dry process in stainless steel

1. The simplest and quickest way to clean the stainless steel is only a damp cloth and rinse with warm water to clean the stainless steel.
2. Wipe dry with a soft cloth.
3. If there are grease spots remain, a mixture of drops of dishwashing detergent with warm water in a bucket in a lather.
4. Wash the cloth wet with the mixture of soap and thoroughly clean element in stainless steel.
5. Rinse area with clean water and dry with a soft cloth.
6. If an oil stain remains, try to wet a small cloth with alcohol.
7. Clean the grease stain the fabric thoroughly with alcohol.
8. Rinse area with clean water and dry with a soft cloth.
9. For stubborn burnt on stains, a smooth baking soda and water past (should be the consistency of toothpaste).
10. Apply to the stain and let stand for 15 to 20 minutes.
11. Clean the area with a soft cloth moistened with soap and water in step 3 above.
12. Rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth.


Other suggestions and recommendations

  • To quickly clean the fingerprints and stains in stainless steel with a spray window cleaner (like Windex ™, or a mixture of 4 parts water and 1 part ammonia) and dry with a paper towel.
  • Never use abrasive cleaners, abrasive sponges or steel wool (like Brillo ®) in stainless steel, as you can scratch the finish.
  • If you have rust stains on stainless steel, clean with a detergent as Friend oxalic Barman.
  • Do not use detergents in silver and enamel on stainless steel, which may leave a stain.
  • If you have water stains on the sink in stainless steel, try rubbing a soft cloth moistened with olive oil, then polish with a dry cloth. This should not only remove water spots, but its luster stainless steel sink, like new.
  • If you have water stains on your stainless steel utensils, rub with a little 'distilled white vinegar, rinse with warm water and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
  • Never leave cooking utensils in a stainless steel burner at high temperature for an extended period of time because it can cause discoloration that can not be removed. Similarly, never boil the water to evaporate completely in a stainless steel pot, which can cause permanent discoloration.
